Hill Engineering pneumatic air presses (HAP) have high speed, very fast, very repetitive ram action, which means they are very repeatable for an open loop measuring. This is a very cost-effective way of buying tonnage and die space. The presses are usually lightweight and easy to move from line to line if required and are less costly than hydraulic or mechanical presses. Standard Self-Contained Air Press/Die Units

Air operated self contained slugless cutoff die

Shown is a slugless (crop) press/die (also built are slug-type self-contained units). These dies can stroke in as little as .25 seconds (total cycle time). With this window type design, multiple die inserts can be changed out faster than it would take to changeover your roll mill.
